Juan Valdez opens first store in Torre Caleido

Juan Valdez has announced the opening of its first store in Torre Caleido in Madrid. This new space is part of a robust expansion plan in the Iberian country, which foresees opening close to 120 additional points of sale in this territory over the next five years.

This store has a surface area of more than 90 square metres divided between an interior room and an adjoining outdoor terrace, which will house a service area, as well as a product display and use of preparation methods.

“Going into this store-terrace concept is a unique opportunity, as it allows us to continue unveiling our brand experience in a market that is growing rapidly in terms of coffee consumption,” says Sebastián Mejía, International Vice President of Juan Valdez.

“For this occasion, we wanted, together with our local partner, to locate ourselves in a strategic point in Madrid such as the Torre Caleido Shopping Center, a shopping and entertainment complex of more than 20,000 square metres that it is designed with a sustainable approach and has advanced technologies to reduce its environmental impact. These are compelling reasons to have a store in this place that gives coffee lovers the best of Juan Valdez.”

The new Juan Valdez store is the second opening of the brand in Spain this year and the fifth in this nation. Consumers, including IE University students, will be able to enjoy a varied portfolio focused on espressos, filtered, iced, frappes, and an exclusive menu with coffee-based cocktails.
